Duane Morris LLP, a global law firm with 900+ attorneys, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Health Law Practice in Philadelphia. This role will provide administrative and secretarial support to legal professionals, with a focus on operational excellence and customer service. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with prior legal assistant experience to join a reputable and growing firm.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain client and case files
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda
- Manage calendars and schedule appointments and meetings
- Update internal document management system
- Provide case support and project assistance
- Coordinate travel logistics and process expense reports
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Other duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications:
- High School diploma with 3+ years of legal assistant experience
- Knowledge of Federal and local court rules and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with licensing applications a plus
- Strong technical skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Prior experience with large firm billing software preferred
- Experience with document management systems preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
