Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance and direction to various teams within **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., including product, operations, engineering, compliance, and marketing
- Oversee outside counsel on strategic deals and partnerships
- Partner with experts both inside and outside the organization to facilitate and implement partnerships with financial institutions and other fintech partners
- Become an expert on **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s existing products and help shape the development of new banking and financial products and services
- Build playbooks and establish processes to scale the legal team's advice
- Serve as a cross-functional connector and help gain consensus across teams
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Familiarity with banking regulations and consumer financial laws
- Experience in bank partnerships and structuring agreements with financial institutions
- Understanding of financial services consumer protection laws and payments/card network industry rules and regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex legal concepts into understandable guidance
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow
- JD and admission to any state bar preferred
Bonus Qualifications:
- Previous product counseling experience
- Familiarity with insurance, loyalty, and rewards
- Experience in the financial tech industry or on-demand economy
Compensation:
- Base salary ranges from $190,400 to $280,000 USD, depending on location and market conditions
