H2: Responsibilities and Qualifications
General Description:
- Identify and resolve conflicts of interest for new attorney and staff candidates
- Attend annual or bi-annual team building events and quarterly meetings
- Based within a reasonable commuting distance of any . office
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with candidates, partners, and HR to obtain necessary information
- Review and analyze conflict search results for lateral candidates
- Prepare and distribute conflicts analysis
- Track progress of lateral candidates
- Draft waiver letters to clear conflicts
- Maintain ethical walls and legal screens
- Assist with answering questions and resolving conflicts related to business intake and other firm policies
- Assist transition partners with departing attorneys' clients and matters
- Identify and resolve conflicts for new business intake
- Monitor changes in ethics rules and client mergers
- Develop departmental procedures
- Special projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification
- 1 year of legal experience identifying and clearing conflicts of interest for new lateral hires
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school preferred
- Experience with large law firms preferred
Salary Information:
- Illinois: $86,000k - $128,000k/yr
- District of Columbia: $93,000k - $140,000k/yr
- New York City: $93,000k - $140,000k/yr
- Colorado: $78,000k - $117,000k/yr
- California: $93,000k - $140,000k/yr
