Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Summer Associate Program, which is a cornerstone for recruiting outstanding associates and ensuring the future success of the law firm.
- Work on various projects with different lawyers across a range of practice areas within the law firm's . offices.
- Observe and assist in trials, hearings, depositions, and negotiations, as well as participate in client meetings and closings.
- Engage in substantive and challenging work assignments, including Pro Bono matters.
- Receive mentoring from partners and associates, gaining insights and guidance for career development.
- Participate in writing skills training and receive detailed feedback on work products.
- Network at various social events and partake in interactive training workshops, such as M&A and deposition skills.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must be rising second-year law students, graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Applicants must be enrolled full-time at an ABA-accredited law school.
- Demonstrate a commitment to promoting a culture of community, opportunity, and inclusion.
- Likely to practice after graduation in one of the law firm's . offices.
- Applications from 2L students must be submitted by September 1 of their 2L year.
- Applicants must not be recipients of a similar award or stipend from another law firm.
Salary Information:
- The position offers a salary of $4,326 per week.
- Recipients of the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Fellowship will also receive a $50,000 award.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
- The fellowship is open to all first and second-year law students who meet the specified criteria.
- Recipients are selected based on several factors, including a demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of community, opportunity, and inclusion.
- Academic performance at the undergraduate and law school levels, personal achievements, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills are considered.
- Commitment to succeed as a lawyer in a large, private practice environment and community service involvement are also evaluated.
- Candidates must submit a cover letter, resume, undergraduate and law school transcripts, and a personal statement of 500 words or less.
