As a Litigation & Practice Technology Discovery Advisor, you will report to an LPT Director and work with firm attorneys to manage document review projects and related technology and workflow management. Ideal candidates will have at least 7 years of experience in supporting discovery needs for diverse clients in complex litigation matters.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Investigate and gain a deep understanding of assigned cases.
- Conduct document review projects, including quality checks, fact development, privilege review, and logging.
- Summarize review progress and findings, alerting merits counsel to key evidence, identifying deficiencies in collections and productions, and highlighting relevant facts to support investigations.
- Consult on the design of managed review projects and workflows, utilizing technology and processes effectively.
- Coordinate and manage review team onboarding, training, and performance, providing feedback and re-training when needed.
- Define, assess, track, and report key metrics, quality standards, and changes in scope to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion of reviews.
- Coordinate activities and communications related to review work-streams, including partnering with internal project managers, analysts, paralegals, and attorneys.
- Contribute to departmental publications, presentations, and documentation creation, and train and update case teams and department as required.
- Provide hands-on support in litigation technology tools, such as Relativity, for advanced search design, document review batching and production workflows, and privilege log management.
- Perform final quality control and assurance on deliverables to case teams, clients, and third parties.
- Consult with case team members on the use of customized litigation support apps and tools.
- Support the execution of special projects.
- Apply firm standards in technology and practices, as guided by an Associate Director.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- A strong combination of consulting, review support, project management, and technical experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the litigation lifecycle and eDiscovery processes.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing complex document review projects, including the use of analytics and reporting of key performance metrics.
- Substantial experience with Relativity and proficient ability to review documents, maximize efficiencies in the tool, and perform defensible searches.
- Ability to liaise effectively with multiple case teams, clients, litigation support teams, document review services, and vendors.
- Preferred experience in consulting on best practices related to data collection, privacy, information governance, and security.
- Ability to manage complex litigation and diverse client data from preservation through review, production, creation of privilege logs, deposition, and trial support.
- Experience training case teams on analytics use and other eDiscovery best practices.
- Significant experience using TAR protocols and other review tools.
- Experience conducting legal research and supporting deposition preparation, motions practice, and trial is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with leading eDiscovery review platforms, with an emphasis on complex search construction, document batching, and early case assessment.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with TAR and other analytics, including the use of CAL/CMML and other techniques for deduplication, email threading, review prioritization, sampling, production quality control, and privilege identification.
- Juris Doctorate required.
- Ability to adapt to unexpected changes in review protocols, deadlines, and case teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ‘Can Do’ attitude and willingness to take ownership of projects.
- Some weekend and after-hours support and occasional travel may be required.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $155,000 - $225,000, depending on location and cost of living.
