Law Firm Seeking Midlevel Associate with Investment Management Experience

Are you a highly qualified midlevel associate with experience in investment adviser regulatory matters? If so, Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP is looking for you! We are one of the world's leading international law firms and we are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Investment Management – Financial Institutions practice group. This is a great opportunity to work in either our New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC office.

About the Position:

- Midlevel associate position in the Investment Management – Financial Institutions practice group
- Full-time, permanent role with competitive salary and benefits
- 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Must have experience with investment adviser regulatory matters
- Comparable law firm experience and/or experience at the Securities and Exchange Commission is a plus
- Familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other federal securities laws required
- Responsibilities include counseling top tier investment management firms on regulatory matters, compliance policies and procedures, and SEC examinations and enforcement defense
- Excellent academic credentials and strong organizational, drafting, communication, and analytical skills required
- Active membership in the bar of the state where the Morgan Lewis office is located is a must

Salary Information:

- Salary wage range for this position in New York and Washington, DC is $225,000 to $435,000
- Base salary or hourly wage will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on prior experience, expertise, and market factors
- Final salary or hourly wages offered may fall outside of the range based on individual circumstances
- Total compensation package may include a full range of benefits such as medical, financial, and paid time off (401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, parental leave)
- Participation in benefit plans will be discussed upon receiving an offer of employment
- Employees are in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary and other compensation or benefit programs at any time based on performance and market factors

Experience and Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of experience with investment adviser regulatory matters
- Comparable law firm experience and/or experience at the Securities and Exchange Commission
- Familiarity and demonstrated experience with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other federal securities laws
- Experience counseling top tier investment management firms on regulatory matters, compliance policies and procedures, and SEC examinations and enforcement defense
- Excellent academic credentials and strong organizational, drafting, communication, and analytical skills
- Active membership in the bar of the state where the Morgan Lewis office is located
