Duties:

  • Manage patent prosecution for a wide range of technologies, including 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, image processing, and wireless communications.
  • Work directly with clients to develop and manage patent portfolios.
  • Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property matters related to complex technologies.
  • Draft and file patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Collaborate with legal teams to support patent litigation, licensing, and transactional matters.
  • Stay current on technological advancements and related intellectual property trends.
  • Assist in mentoring junior attorneys and guide them on technical and legal issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patent prosecution.
  • Strong technical background in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to register with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) or already registered.
  • Admission to the Bar (or eligibility to waive in).
  • Extensive knowledge of 5G, AI, wireless technologies, processors, memory systems, and RF front-end systems.
  • Proven track record of strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

Certifications:

  • Registered with the USPTO or eligible for registration.

Skills:

  • Expertise in patent prosecution, especially in high-tech fields like AI, wireless communication, and image processing.
  • Ability to work closely with clients to identify IP strategies and build portfolios.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, including autonomous vehicles, robotics, and AI-driven systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of fostering client relationships and contributing to team success.
