Summary:

Join the team at DLA Piper, a bold, exceptional, collaborative, and supportive law firm, as a Senior Paralegal in Patent Litigation. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a balance between office and remote work. As a Senior Paralegal, you will work under the supervision of attorneys and perform a range of duties related to patent litigation, including discovery, trial, and appeal. Your responsibilities will include assisting with depositions, hearings, and trials, as well as managing document databases and coordinating with various parties.

Certifications: For California Paralegals: Must meet the California Paralegal Requirements

Responsibilities:

- Provide support in all phases of patent litigation, including discovery, trial, and appeal
- Assist with preparation for depositions, witness interviews, hearings, trials, and arbitration
- Review, organize, and maintain document databases for case tracking and discovery
- Utilize legal software and technology for document reviews and privilege logs
- Support patent litigation, patent appeals, and contested proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and . International Trade Commission (ITC)

Skills:

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Technical skills for setting up and maintaining matters
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience in patent litigation and Relativity databases
- Knowledge of . International Trade Commission (ITC) matters and intellectual property rights (IPR)
- Previous experience at a large law firm and with trials
- Paralegal Certificate
