Law Firm Seeking Experienced Enterprise Applications Engineer

H2: Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Law Firm is seeking an experienced Enterprise Applications Engineer to join our Information Systems Department. This individual will be responsible for the daily monitoring, support, and maintenance of our enterprise-wide applications, as well as leading projects related to updating or installing new applications. We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of document management, timekeeping, accounting and billing systems, litigation support, ethical walls, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health of enterprise-wide applications and resolve any issues or errors that arise
- Keep current on patches and releases related to enterprise-wide applications and recommend updates to install
- Lead testing of new software or versions of software and create and maintain test environments
- Act as Project Lead for new applications or updates to existing applications
- Create and maintain production environments for enterprise-wide applications
- Interface with vendors on a regular basis regarding problems, bug fixes, and new software versions
- Maintain a high level of knowledge in all enterprise-wide applications
- Act as a backup for other applications as needed
- Assist, teach, and mentor other team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years experience managing enterprise-wide applications, preferably in a law firm
- Deep knowledge of document management, timekeeping, accounting and billing systems, litigation support, ethical walls, and security
- Proficient in infrastructure, server, operating systems, and network communications
- Knowledge of desktop operating systems, software, and packaging practices
- Strong ability to install and maintain enterprise-wide applications
- Knowledge of SQL server and scripting
- Certification in iManage preferred
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
This position operates in a clerical, office setting and may require some walking and standing. The employee may need to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity is necessary for analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
