The Tax Partner for the real estate private equity team will be responsible for performing partner level compliance reviews, handling client consultations, and working on proposals to develop new business. You will also have the opportunity to meet with prospective clients and develop relationships with new and existing clients. Additionally, you will supervise engagements and special projects, oversee all aspects of client engagement, and mentor and train staff to assist in the growth of the tax function.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field
- CPA or JD
- 15+ years of progressive tax experience
- 2+ years as a Partner or Director at a public accounting firm
- 10+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Experience working with real estate private equity clients is required.
- Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent field
- Experience acquiring new clients and growing a book of business

Responsibilities:

- Perform partner level compliance review and tax return signoff
- Handle client consultations on planning opportunities and changes in tax law
- Work on proposals and assist in developing new business
- Meet prospective clients and develop relationships with new and existing clients
- Expand services to existing clients
- Supervise engagements and special projects undertaken by the firm
- Oversee all aspects of the client engagement
- Supervise, train, and evaluate advanced level staff
- Coach, mentor, and assist staff in the growth of the tax function
- Maintain knowledge of new tax issues and general business trends affecting clients

Salary Information:

- Expected salary range for this position in NYC: $250, - $450,
- Salary range may vary based on market differences in other geographies
- Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
