Responsibilities:

- Lead policy development and advocacy efforts related to petrochemical industry issues such as chemical management, circularity, recycling, trade, and sustainability.
- Build and maintain relationships with international, federal, and state policy makers.
- Track and analyze petrochemical legislation, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare comments, public testimony, and other advocacy documents.
- Collaborate with communications and industry analysis teams to create content related to petrochemicals.
- Facilitate the work of various committees to build consensus positions.
- Keep members and senior management informed of key developments.
- Provide technical guidance to government relations staff.
- Help plan and execute the AFPM International Petrochemical Conference.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years' experience in public policy, politics, or government affairs.
- Previous people management or leadership experience.
- Understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
- Familiarity with issues impacting the petrochemical industry.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Experience with relevant legislative, regulatory, or international bodies.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Committee management experience a plus.
- Ability to travel (<15%).
- BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience.

Salary and Benefits:

- Projected compensation range of $160,000 - $185,000 per year.
