Responsibilities:

- Support Chief Legal Officer in handling legal matters
- Oversee subpoena responses, Workman's Compensation disputed claims, litigation, and insurance coverage

- Negotiate, draft, and review contracts

The Assistant General Counsel is responsible for ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. They support the Chief Legal Officer in handling legal matters and ensure that all company service and operating standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate degree and Admission to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania, with 3-5 years of experience in a law firm, company, or government agency. They must have excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as solid negotiating skills and a strong understanding of all areas of the law.

Responsibilities of the Assistant General Counsel include overseeing subpoena responses, Workman's Compensation disputed claims, litigation, insurance coverage, and communication with outside counsel. They also advise Human Resources on employee matters and compliance with employment laws, negotiate and review contracts on behalf of the company, and ensure that management makes legally sound decisions. Additionally, they will work with the Risk Management Department to address matters that reduce the risk of injuries to employees and patrons. Effective budget management and control of operational and payroll costs are also key responsibilities.
