This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits. We are looking for a highly skilled attorney with experience in defending Workers’ Compensation claims and appearing before various Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board venues throughout California. Admission to the California Bar is required. Experience with the Workers’ Compensation Disability Rating Scale is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
• Defend third-party administrators, insurance carriers, and employers against employee claims
• Appear before various Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board venues throughout California
• Utilize expertise in the Workers’ Compensation Disability Rating Scale
• Successfully handle all aspects of discovery and trial work
• Defend against large exposure cases including fibromyalgia, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, psych and stress claims, asbestos claims, as well as common orthopedic, psych, and internal injury claims
Qualifications:
• Admission to the California Bar
• 1-7 years of experience defending Workers’ Compensation claims
• Experience with the Workers’ Compensation Disability Rating Scale preferred but not required
• Highly skilled in all aspects of discovery and trial work
