Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Represent the assigned department in courts of law
- Communicate professionally with the public, co-workers, and work contacts
- Prosecute and/or defend all classes of felony and gross misdemeanor cases, including murder cases and those seeking the death penalty
- Evaluate criminal charges and determine appropriate disposition of cases
- Assist in coordinating court dockets and supervising and training assigned attorneys
- Make presentations to various groups about the law and the office's role in the justice system

Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA Law School
- Certificate of admission to the Bar of the State of Arizona and eligibility to practice law before the courts of the State of Arizona
- 1 year of professional legal experience and demonstrated trial skills
- Knowledge of legal research, court rules and procedures, and leadership and training principles
