Job Title: Lateral Assistant District Attorney - Investigations Division

Experience:

Responsibilities:

Conduct long-term investigations into various areas of criminal activity including public corruption, environmental crimes, organized crime, and frauds.
Prepare and present cases to grand juries for indictment.
Handle trials and prosecutions in court.
Manage a docket of court cases covering multiple disciplines.
Work with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Collaborate with other bureaus within the organization.
Draft subpoenas, interview witnesses, and analyze financial and business records.
Create investigative plans.
Write search warrants, pen registers, and eavesdropping warrants.
Participate in cybercrime investigations.
Manage a team of investigators in long-term, proactive investigations.
Investigate complex criminal organizations involved in fraud schemes, organized crime, or public corruption.
Utilize computer technology in investigations.
Work as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.

The Investigations Division focuses on a variety of criminal activities, including public corruption, environmental crimes, organized crime, and frauds. This includes labor fraud, real estate fraud, immigrant fraud, elder fraud, healthcare fraud, consumer fraud, cybercrime, and securities fraud. As a Lateral Assistant District Attorney, you will also be responsible for managing a docket of court cases covering multiple disciplines.



To excel in this role, you should have excellent investigative skills, including experience drafting subpoenas, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing financial and business records. Additionally, strong writing skills are preferred, with experience drafting search warrants, pen registers, and eavesdropping warrants. A working knowledge of computer technology and participation in sophisticated cybercrime investigations is also highly valued.
