Child Support Officer II: Protecting Children and Promoting Responsible Parenting

The Office of the Attorney General's Child Support Division (CSD) is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Child Support Officer II to join their team in Fort Worth. As a CSO, you will play a crucial role in promoting responsible parenting and ensuring children receive the support they need and deserve.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed investigations to locate absent parents, establish paternity, and obtain court orders for financial support and healthcare coverage for children
• Collaborate with state agencies and community organizations to serve Texas families
• Gain valuable investigative and legal experience
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain knowledge of child support policies and procedures, Texas Family Law, federal regulations, and other states' IV-D regulations
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Experience in child support program, credit collections, investigations, legal assistant, legal secretary, customer service, or IV-A eligibility specialist may be substituted for education
• Knowledge of investigative practices and techniques
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Must be able to type 35 words per minute and lift up to 30 lbs.
