This remote position is based in Connecticut and focuses primarily on insurance defense, trucking, and transportation litigation. The firm represents high-profile clients in diverse legal matters, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in these practice areas. Duties:

  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies in cases related to insurance defense and trucking/transportation litigation.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients, guiding them through complex legal matters.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct case investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing relevant documents.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and detailed reports on case progress.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in insurance defense litigation and/or trucking/transportation litigation.
  • Proven experience in litigation within Connecticut.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for legal drafting and client interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines under pressure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Connecticut State Bar is required.
