Patent Prosecution Paralegal - Work for a Top Law Firm with Competitive Salary and Benefits
The Role:
As a Patent Prosecution Paralegal at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., you will be responsible for managing client portfolios and providing excellent service to our clients. This includes all filings and correspondence for both US, PCT, and foreign prosecution of assigned clients. You will work closely with intellectual property attorneys and have the opportunity to gain experience, advance your professional goals, and build meaningful connections. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client portfolios, including all filings and correspondence for US, PCT, and foreign prosecution
- Create, revise, and file all prosecution documents for US and PCT applications
- Correspond with foreign associates regarding all aspects of foreign prosecution
- Timely reporting of official correspondence to clients and foreign associates
- Maintain a docket of associated deadlines for assigned clients
- Consistently achieve a 1500 billable hour requirement
- Provide support to intellectual property attorneys
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in international, PCT, and US prosecution
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required; college degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
- Must meet requirements to be a Paralegal in California (if residing in California)
- Thorough knowledge of patent procedural requirements for USPTO practices
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- High level of adaptability, proactivity, and analytical thinking
Salary Information:
- California (San Diego): $75,100 - $122,500
- California (Los Angeles): $78,500 - $128,100
- California (San Francisco/Palo Alto): $85,300 - $139,300
- Colorado (Denver): $75,100 - $122,500
- Washington DC/New York: $81,900 - $133,700
*Actual salary offered will be based on factors such as education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
