Job Title: Senior Director, Export Controls and Sanctions
Experience: 7+ years of export controls and sanctions experience with a law firm, “Big 4” firm, in-house compliance/legal department, or regulatory government agency

Responsibilities:
- Provide export controls and sanctions advice
- Conduct investigations and utilize complex analytical skills
- Stay up-to-date on US and global export control and sanctions laws
- Draft thought leadership articles and participate in public speaking opportunities
- Work with clients to assess risk and design/implement responsive controls
- Conduct domestic and international investigations
- Develop and motivate engagement staff
- Deliver high-quality results within established timeframes
- Prepare written analyses, reports, and presentations for clients and third parties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science or related field
- In-depth experience advising on compliance with EAR, ITAR, or OFAC
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including international travel
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's or JD degree
- CFIUS experience, export classification, and supervision of mass classification
- Experience with customs regulations
- Knowledge of non-US export control and sanctions laws
- Experience conducting international investigations
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience implementing policies, procedures, and software solutions for export control and sanctions compliance
- Strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Additional language skills, especially Russian, Chinese, or Arabic
