Location: Remote, with occasional travel to client locations

Farragut Square Group, the research and advisory division of McDermottPlus, is seeking a Legal Nurse Consultant to join their team. This role will involve analyzing and defending clients in government and commercial payor disputes, using clinical expertise and writing skills to support the firm's clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a clinical nursing capacity and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Use clinical background and writing templates to document opinions on medical necessity for CPT codes
- Research Medicare and LCD-level guidelines to strengthen arguments
- Collaborate with medical coders and auditors on medical documentation requirements
- Verbally present findings to clients and counsel
- Assist counsel in arguing cases to the ALJ level
- Manage multiple engagements, project workflows, processes, and timelines
- Communicate progress and deadlines to all relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

- At least 5 years of experience in a clinical nursing capacity
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to handle confidential information
