Job Summary:

Compass Corporate is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Corporate Counsel to join our legal team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and documenting contract matters related to Compass Group USA, Inc. and its affiliates, with a focus on vending, coffee, commissary, and food services. This is a hybrid position, offering both remote and in-office work options.

Responsibilities:

- Draft, negotiate, and assist in the review of a variety of commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements and RFPs.
- Implement contract strategies to optimize terms and conditions, reduce risk, and ensure favorable financial and operational outcomes.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and business development teams to ensure contracts align with organizational goals and mitigate risks.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth contract execution and address issues as they arise.
- Provide sound legal advice and counsel to Managing Legal Counsel and internal clients on strategies, actions, and decisions related to commercial transactions.

Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience as a contracts attorney, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm with a focus on corporate law.
- Bachelor's and Juris Doctor degrees required, as well as a state bar license. Business background is a plus.
- Familiarity with the food service or distribution industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical, business-oriented approach.
- Exceptional organizational, presentation, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex transactions.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify and analyze diverse contractual issues and effectively communicate conclusions to business management.

Salary Information:

- Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
- Annual bonuses and potential for stock options
