Position Purpose

- Senior leadership role on legal team responsible for post-submission application work.
- Oversees teams handling Requests for Evidence, appeals, and client representation at USCIS interviews.
- Works with non-lawyers and operational teams to establish processes and achieve goals in high volume work environment.
- Trains and audits team members, maintains ethical standards, and identifies and resolves future issues.
- Develops legal strategy to support our clients and continues to advocate for their rights.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

- Leads attorney teams in building process for handling RFEs, appeals, and AOS/consular processing.
- Works closely with operational leaders to ensure accurate legal guidance for client needs.
- Coordinates with other leaders to integrate Phase II efforts with other teams and phases.
- Ensures proper training, auditing, and feedback for quality work.
- Conducts legal and factual research.

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

- 5+ years of immigration law experience, including humanitarian cases.
- Familiarity with AOS/consular processing, responding to RFEs/NOIDs, and USCIS appeals.
- Previous legal team management experience.
- Strong research and drafting skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Previous state or federal clerkship a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

- Graduate of ABA accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in a state or territory of the United States.
- Over 5 years of experience as an attorney.
- At least 1 year of experience as an immigration attorney with research and drafting experience for RFEs/NOIDs.
