Salary: Competitive salary offered, dependent on experience
Experience: 4+ years of patent prosecution experience required, as well as a . or MS in a biology discipline
Qualifications:
- . or MS in a biology discipline required (., molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, or biotechnology)
- 4+ years previous IP law experience
- Good standing in the bar(s) where licensed to practice law if an attorney
- Active USPTO Registration
Responsibilities:
- Counseling clients on effective IP strategy options
- Patent procurement activities, including preparation and prosecution of complex patent applications
- Prosecuting a global patent portfolio across multiple jurisdictions by instructing foreign patent counsel in the prosecution of foreign counterpart applications
- Consulting with inventors, technical experts, and patent portfolio managers
- Conduct IP related due diligence for opinions, including patentability, freedom to operate, and infringement and invalidity analyses
