Law Firm is seeking a Data Platforms Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position with the potential for candidates to reside within one of our physical office locations. The Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining data platforms, implementing end-to-end engineering solutions, and supporting application and web development. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of data platform experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000.
- Actual salaries will depend on a candidate's geographic location, relevant experience, and skillset.
- Annual discretionary bonuses and profit-sharing contributions are also included in the firm's total compensation package for employees.

Job Title:
- Data Platforms Engineer (Remote)

Experience Information:
- Minimum 5 years of data platform experience
- Experience in a legal environment or professional services preferred
- Familiarity with IntApp Integration Builder and IIS (Boomi) preferred

Essential Functions:
- Monitor systems performance and capacity
- Ensure adequate security
- Write and analyze queries, object oriented and/or scripting languages
- Design and implement end-to-end engineering solutions
- Build tools to scale and monitor the data environment
- Install, deploy, and maintain data management tools
- Create automated procedures to ingest and process data
- Engineer and support data structures
- Engineer and maintain ELT processes
- Leverage best-in-class tools for modern data solutions
- Support application and web development by writing stored procedures and queries
- Research data questions and identify root causes
- Performance tune queries and stored procedures
- Identify and solve technical obstacles
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies
- Work with vendors to integrate systems and data
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Work additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements

Skills/Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent technical education preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Semantic Models, Pipelines, etc.) preferred
- Experience with SQL DB design and maintenance
- Experience with Transact-SQL
- Experience with Programming objects, Optimization and Performance Tools, Replication and Security
- Sophisticated troubleshooting skills
- Experience using and building SSIS packages
- Ability to develop SQL structures for high volumes and scalability
- Experience with modern data structures and databases
- Experience building transactional databases
- Experience with all versions of Windows
- Experience with Power BI
- Knowledgeable in best practices guidelines from Microsoft, VMware, and storage vendors
- Knowledgeable in Azure SQL cloud offerings
- Knowledgeable in database security
- Understanding of disaster recovery terminology and design
- Experience migrating SQL servers
- Unquestioned integrity and professionalism
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with effective organizational skills
- Proven problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Working knowledge of web-based conference call/web-sharing applications

Compensation:
- Salary range of $100,000 - $115,000
- Actual salaries dependent on location, experience, and skillset
- Annual discretionary bonuses and profit-sharing contributions included in total compensation package
