- Lead and implement technology and analytical aspects of data function for a prestigious law firm
- Develop data-driven strategies and focus on AI solutions to enhance decision-making, reporting, and operational efficiencies
- Manage a high-performing team of Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts
- Collaborate with firm's leadership and key stakeholders to define vision, strategy, and roadmap for data initiatives
- Design and enhance data infrastructure to be modern, flexible, and of industry-leading quality
- Supervise creation and maintenance of reliable data pipelines and workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of data initiatives
- Drive innovation by incorporating AI and machine learning into data-first approach
- Act as liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure data strategy aligns with overall goals
- Advocate for solutions that prioritize system stability, reliability, and scalability
- Recruit, train, and mentor diverse data science team
- Participate in hiring processes, performance evaluations, and other employee lifecycle events
- Collaborate with other elements of data function, including data discovery and knowledge services, to drive firm's data initiatives
- Effectively communicate complex data science concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Stay updated on technologies to improve configurations, troubleshoot issues, and resolve them independently
- Flexibility to work scheduled nights and weekends, as needed

H2: Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with firm's leadership and key stakeholders to define vision, strategy, and roadmap for data initiatives

- Develop data-driven strategies to enhance operations, improve decision-making, optimize AI solutions, and boost business efficiency
- Develop and enhance firm's data infrastructure to be modern, flexible, and of industry-leading quality

H2: Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data science or data engineering/architecture roles
- Minimum 5 years of experience in professional service organization with relevant people supervision and project management experience
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale data projects, ideally in technology or highly regulated industries
- Experienced in designing solutions that comply with global data handling and regulatory standards
- Deep knowledge of legal industry and related areas such as legal financial systems, analytics, and operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft/Azure stack
- Advanced knowledge of KCS methodology
- Applicable industry certifications in Data Science/Engineering, such as Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate and Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Experience influencing and collaborating with multiple departments/business units
- Expertise with distributed systems and organizational structures

- Flexibility to work scheduled nights and weekends, as needed
- Effective presentation skills to communicate complex ideas to medium-sized groups
- Ability to work on/with team in different offices and/or time zones
- Ability to travel, as required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other firm applications
- Ability to work in office setting or remote location
- Manual dexterity for typing, reaching, and lifting
- Frequent computer, video conferencing, and telephone use
- Capability to work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions

$143,000 - $286,000 (determined during interview process)
