We are looking for a skilled claims professional to join our Major Case Unit as a Technical Claims Supervisor. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely with a hybrid schedule and a competitive salary range of $140,000-$165,000 per year.

As a Technical Claims Supervisor, you will be responsible for actively managing and effectively overseeing large exposure and complex general/auto liability and trucking claims. This includes primary, umbrella, and excess claims handled by Third-party Administrators (TPAs) and supporting Arch business stakeholders. You will also work closely with underwriters, legal teams, and other Arch functions to ensure timely and effective communication, consistent with Arch Claims’ procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver industry-leading technical claim handling and oversight, resulting in excellent claim outcomes and exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with TPA team members, Arch Claim Account Managers, and other claim professionals to develop and execute appropriate claim resolution strategies.
- Work closely with underwriters, legal teams, and other Arch functions to ensure timely and effective communication, consistent with Arch Claims’ procedures.
- Provide effective and timely communication with insureds and brokers, making exceptional customer service a top priority.
- Conduct coverage analysis, investigations, liability and damage evaluations, and timely and accurate indemnity and expense reserving.
- Work with defense and coverage counsel to create and execute litigation and coverage strategies and budgets.
- Effectively manage claim file documentation, claim coding, and diary management.
- Assist with TPA management and oversight, including staff training, sharing of best practices, and regular meetings with TPA claims staff.
Desired Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of commercial general/auto liability claim handling experience, including responsibility for complex and large exposure claims.
- Experience with trucking, construction, or emergency service/medical professional liability claims is a plus.
- TPA management/oversight experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills and a service-minded attitude.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), collaboration, influencing, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to process complex information, distill it down to key issues and decision points, and communicate it concisely.
- Ability to lead strategic discussions and make sound, cost-effective decisions and recommendations.
- Able to work independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Adaptable and able to succeed in a rapidly changing workplace.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
- Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Education:
- Juris Doctorate desired, but not required.
