Join our team at Hawkins, a leading law firm, as a Financial Analyst Intern in our Financial Analysis & Services (FAS) department. We are looking for motivated individuals who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or other technical fields.
As an intern, you will work closely with our Financial Analysts to prepare various financial analyses and calculations related to tax-exempt bond financings. This includes ensuring compliance with federal tax laws and regulations, as well as assisting with projects related to arbitrage. You will have the opportunity to gather historical investment information, analyze it using spreadsheet models, and prepare reports for our governmental clients.
In addition, you may also assist with the development of financial models, yield calculations, loan amortization schedules, complex allocation analyses, swap/hedge analysis, presentations, marketing materials, and research. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the finance and tax law field, and we are looking for long-term interns, not just for the summer.

Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or other technical fields
- Knowledge of fixed income securities, general market principles, spreadsheet and database applications, and accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
