- As a Trust Officer VP, you will oversee the administration of trusts and develop relationships with beneficiaries and advisors.
- Your role is crucial in maintaining our reputation as a trusted and capable provider of trust and estate services.
Job Description
- As a Trust Officer VP, you will analyze trust documents for legal, tax, administrative, and investment issues and coordinate the delivery of services.
- You will make recommendations on how the bank should exercise discretionary powers as trustee.
- You will oversee investment decisions and work with investors to ensure that the trust's investment objective is appropriate and in accordance with its investment guidelines.
- You will also work with Tax Officers and trust counsel to resolve tax issues and address questions from beneficiaries, co-trustees, and their advisors.
- Your role will require you to maintain current knowledge of beneficiaries and their changing needs in order to provide superior client services.
- You will also partner with Wealth Advisors to vet and price new trust business and cross-sell JPM products and services.
- Your responsibilities may also include maintaining and developing strategies for increasing business with current clients and cultivating relationships with professional advisors.
Qualifications
- To be eligible for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience in the trust business.
- You should have in-depth knowledge of fiduciary products and services, as well as legal, tax, and regulatory requirements applicable to fiduciary relationships.
- A comprehensive understanding of trust law, gifting techniques, and taxation is also required.
- An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred, and a JD is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of internal procedures involving distributions, account maintenance, and investment systems is a plus.
