The Henderson & Summerlin Law Firm is seeking a talented and driven Guardianship Attorney to join our growing team. As a Guardianship Attorney at our firm, you will work on a variety of guardianship and conservatorship matters, providing legal guidance and representation to clients seeking to establish and administer guardianships for minors and incapacitated adults. You will have the opportunity to work on both uncontested and contested cases, using your strong knowledge of Nevada guardianship law and procedures to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assisting clients with establishing and administering guardianships and conservatorships for minors and incapacitated adults.
Preparing and filing petitions, reports and accountings required for judicial approval and compliance.
Advising clients on guardianship responsibilities, fiduciary duties and compliance with statutory requirements
Providing legal guidance on alternatives to guardianship such as powers of attorney and trusts.
Assisting clients with planning for incapacity and special needs care.
Structuring guardianship plans to address financial management, healthcare decisions and living arrangements
Representing clients in contested guardianship cases, including disputes over capacity , fitness of guardians and fiduciary actions.
Negotiating settlements and resolving conflicts through mediation and arbitration.
Drafting and reviewing petitions, orders, annual reports and care plans.
Preparing legal correspondence, motions and settlement agreements.
Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all legal documentation.

Qualifications:

. degree from accredited law school
License to practice law in Nevada
Strong knowledge of Nevada guardianship law and procedures.
Exceptional drafting, negotiation and research skills.
Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
