The Law Firm is seeking a Family Law Associate to join our team and support our clients in their legal matters.

As a Family Law Associate, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and negotiating settlements on behalf of clients. You will also work closely with our lead attorney to develop case strategies and provide insights based on your research findings. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and organize documents
- Track billable hours and send out invoices and billing notices
- Draft legal documents with clarity and compliance with applicable laws
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Provide legal administrative support by organizing case files and managing deadlines
- Collaborate with lead attorney on case strategy and attend court hearings and client meetings as necessary
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in Illinois
- Strong research skills
- 4+ years of experience in family law or related practice areas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Compensation:

- Part-time contract position
- Hourly rate of $26 - $37, depending on experience and qualifications
- Opportunities for additional income by bringing in new cases to the firm
