Law Firm Seeking Experienced Attorney in Labor and Employment Law

Butzel Law Firm is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our team in the Detroit, Troy, Grand Rapids, or Ann Arbor area. As an attorney in our labor and employment department, you will have the opportunity to handle a variety of employment litigation matters and provide legal counsel to clients on issues involving employees. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in employment law and a passion for helping clients navigate the complex legal landscape of labor and employment issues.

Responsibilities:

- Independently handle employment litigation and other client matters
- Prepare legal briefs and other pleadings
- Participate in motion hearings, mediations, and depositions
- Develop effective litigation strategies
- Respond to EEOC and MDCR charges
- Prepare for and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in employment-related litigation and client counseling
- Ability to handle litigation and other client matters independently or with minimal supervision
- Some level of portable business is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience in traditional labor matters is a plus

Education and Licensing:

- Must be a graduate of an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Michigan State Bar, or eligible to promptly become admitted
