TransUnion is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Credit Risk Solutions team as Counsel. This role will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting complex commercial agreements in support of the credit risk solutions business. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree with at least 3 years of experience as an attorney interpreting, negotiating, and drafting complex contracts and related documents, as well as experience acting as product counsel to review new product offerings and issue spot potential legal issues.

Responsibilities:

- Review, negotiate, and draft complex commercial agreements in support of the credit risk solutions business.
- Work closely with the credit risk solutions attorney and the credit risk solutions product team to review new products and solutions and identify and mitigate potential legal issues.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including privacy, sales/business development, compliance, information security, information technology, acquisition integration, operations, and product development.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in the credit, financial services, and technology space.
- Maintain an active license to practice law in the applicable state(s) of employment and adhere to all company policies and legal standards.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited school.
- Active license to practice law and in good standing in the applicable state(s) of employment.
- At least 3 years of experience as an attorney interpreting, negotiating, and drafting complex contracts and related documents.
- Experience as a product counsel preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of GLBA and FCRA preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize competing demands and accomplish tasks independently and in a timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence (EQ), and a service-oriented attitude.
- Interest in emerging technologies and a desire to solve complex problems and explore new ideas.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with colleagues and clients.
