Senior Staff Accountant, Attorney Compensation The candidate will budget and forecast attorney compensation, prepare statistical models for attorney evaluations and promotions, coordinate salary changes and bonus payments with HRIS and payroll, and perform various other accounting duties relating to the general ledger, tax, and accounting systems. Will support the Senior Attorney Compensation Manager and the Chief Financial Officer. Manage the annual attorney compensation and promotion processes. Provide valuable insight on attorney compensation decisions and present findings to Senior Leadership. Ensure accuracy of attorney compensation and capital general ledger accounts. Own the annual budget and monthly forecast process and provide insights on any variances to Senior Leadership ad hoc attorney performance and compensation modeling. Support capital contribution process and capital loan group billing program. Calculate individual equity partner post-retirement benefit payments annually and prepare ad hoc projections for partners upon request. Analyze and identify opportunities to automate and improve aspects of the firm's compensation and promotion processes to streamline and create efficiencies. Prepare cash flow analysis for new and lateral Partners. Should have a Bachelor's degree. Must have 7+ years of related work experience, preferably at a law firm or professional service company. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint is required. The ability to analyze large amounts of data, summarize conclusions and make recommendations to senior leadership is needed. Legal industry experience is preferred.
