Law Firm Seeking Analyst to Support International Trade and Regulatory Compliance Practice Group in Washington, DC Office
Steptoe LLP, a leading Am Law 100 firm based in Washington, DC, is actively searching for an Analyst to join their team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the Firm's International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group in their Washington, DC office. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a background in international affairs, political science, or a related field to join a top-ranked law firm and contribute to their success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and draft political, economic, market, and reputational risk analysis
- Contribute to the Steptoe risk publication with valuable analysis
- Monitor media and compile news and analysis summaries
- Attend policy discussions at Washington-area think tanks and Congressional hearings
- Support due diligence investigations
- Interact with clients to assess needs and provide support
- Other duties as assigned to meet the requirements of the position
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in International Affairs, Political Science, or a relevant field
- Minimum of one year experience analyzing policy or security issues related to Europe or Latin America
- Proficiency in one or more foreign languages desired

Work Environment:
- Full-time position, available to work in the office from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday

- Available to work beyond regular hours when necessary
Salary Information:
- Anticipated salary for this position is $85,000
- Actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors such as relevant skills, education, certifications, or professional licenses held, and geographic location
