Job Description:
- Midlevel associate position in our Orange County office
- Focus on intellectual property and life sciences practice area
- One to five years of patent prosecution experience in biotechnology required
- Advanced degree, preferably a ., in life sciences technology area required
- Patent bar membership (USPTO Registration Number) required
- Prepare for and pass patent bar exam within first 12 months of employment

Responsibilities:
- Conduct patent prosecution activities, including drafting and filing patent applications, responding to office actions, and conducting interviews with patent examiners
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to patent prosecution and intellectual property matters
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement patent strategies
- Attend and participate in client meetings and presentations
- Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry developments related to intellectual property and life sciences

Qualifications:
- One to five years of patent prosecution experience in biotechnology
- Advanced degree, preferably a ., in life sciences technology area
- Patent bar membership (USPTO Registration Number)
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
