Job Summary:
The Director, Associate General Counsel (Risk Mitigation) will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, managing lawsuits and threatened lawsuits, conducting internal investigations, engaging in risk mitigation initiatives, and protecting the company’s legal interests in court and arbitration.

Responsibilities:
• Defend consumer, class action, and commercial litigation cases.
• Manage the activities of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and its affiliates in court and arbitration.
• Lead risk mitigation initiatives and identify areas for process improvements.
• Conduct internal investigations.
• Assist in legal department operations, including risk management, policies and procedures, and acting as a liaison to other internal departments.
• Manage corporate insurance portfolio and oversee insurance claims.
• Handle tasks related to eDiscovery, litigation hold compliance, and record retention.

Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (.) degree and valid license to practice law.
• 7+ years of consumer and/or class action litigation experience.
• Strong understanding of consumer financial services industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in bankruptcy law and advising on litigation recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of legal operations, technology solutions, and project management.
• Familiarity with legal technology platforms.
