Senior Counsel - Employment and Internal Investigations

**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a Senior Counsel for Employment and Internal Investigations to join their team remotely in the United States. This role will primarily focus on conducting investigations into employment-related concerns raised internally or through the company's Ethics Helpline, ensuring compliance with employment and other laws, and maintaining ethical standards. The ideal candidate will have a . from an accredited law school and at least 8 years of experience in employment law, as well as experience conducting employment investigations. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct fair and efficient investigations into serious company policy violations, including handling sensitive topics, conducting interviews, and reviewing legal and compliance rules
- Use excellent judgment and extensive knowledge of employment laws to review company policies and procedures
- Author clear and concise investigation reports and maintain accurate case files
- Partner with Employee Relations and other members of the Compliance & Risk team to ensure consistency and fairness in all practices
- Train and mentor members of Employee Relations on conducting investigations
- Engage in strategy to minimize risk and implement proactive and responsive programs
- Provide legal advice on topics such as employee relations, hiring, training, performance management, and employee benefits

Requirements:

- . from an accredited law school with an active license to practice law in at least one . state
- 8+ years of experience in employment law
- Experience conducting employment investigations, including fact-finding interviews and handling sensitive situations
- Flexible with work hours to respond to urgent issues and interview witnesses based on their schedules
- Strong business insight and task prioritization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- In-house legal experience
- Experience or study in Human Resources or related fields
- SPHR or SHRM certification
