Position Description:
The Washington, DC Government Contracts Associate will work with the National Security practice at Wilson Sonsini. This position requires 3-5 years of experience in government contracts and grants, with a focus on terms, compliance, and administration. The associate will also assist with negotiating prime and subcontracts and teaming agreements. Experience with OTAs, SBA and SBIR rules, GSA/FSS programs, and financial assistance agreements is required. The ideal candidate will also have experience in regulatory areas such as foreign investment, export controls, sanctions, FCC, and FAA. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and academic excellence are highly valued at Wilson Sonsini.

Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on government contracts and grants terms, compliance, and administration
- Assist with negotiation of prime and subcontracts and teaming agreements
- Provide guidance on OTAs, SBA and SBIR rules, GSA/FSS programs, and financial assistance agreements
- Advise on government contracts and grants in the context of M&A and financing transactions
- Conduct due diligence and assist with novations
- Work alongside team members in the National Security Group
- Provide support in areas such as foreign investment, export controls, sanctions, FCC, and FAA
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and investors
- Participate in firm-sponsored activities and events

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in government contracts and grants
- Strong understanding of terms, compliance, and administration
- Experience with negotiating prime and subcontracts and teaming agreements
- Knowledge of OTAs, SBA and SBIR rules, GSA/FSS programs, and financial assistance agreements
- Familiarity with regulatory areas such as foreign investment, export controls, sanctions, FCC, and FAA
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Strong academic background

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $260,000 - $365,000
