As a Senior Conflicts Attorney, you will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys with clearing conflicts related to new business intake while ensuring the protection of our firm and clients from potential risks. Some key responsibilities and essential job functions of this role include:

- Utilizing your extensive knowledge of conflicts to establish a full clearance process for the firm
- Processing the intake of new clients and matters on behalf of firm attorneys
- Conducting conflicts checks and identifying potential conflicts of interest
- Communicating with attorneys to resolve any conflicts
- Obtaining accurate due diligence for new clients and matters
- Drafting waiver letters to clear conflicts of interest
- Advising attorneys on rules of professional conduct and firm policies related to conflicts of interest
- Erecting and maintaining ethical walls and legal screens as necessary
- Monitoring changes in ethics rules and case law related to conflicts of interest
- Assisting with keeping shared documents up to date and accurate
- Completing special projects and duties as assigned

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications and skills:

- 10+ years of legal experience, with at least 5 years specifically in identifying and clearing conflicts of interest, preferably at a large law firm
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in a jurisdiction where the firm has an office
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a heavy workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in conducting research and using databases
- Extensive knowledge of conflicts of interest principles under the Rules of Professional Conduct

In addition, this position may require periodic in-person attendance at team building events and quarterly meetings, depending on your location. The Senior Conflicts Attorney can be based within a reasonable commuting distance of any of our . offices.
