Deskside Support Specialist - Onsite - 8:30AM - 5PM

Overview:

Reed Smith, a dynamic international law firm, is seeking a Deskside Support Specialist to provide general and second level application and hardware support to end users. This role includes deskside, walkaround, and one-on-one training support. The ideal candidate will have strong PC, Windows, and applications knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. This is a full-time, regular position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

- Provide deskside support on various applications, including MS Office Suite, Windows, iManage Worksite, Elite 3E, Internet, Intranet, voicemail/Unified Messaging, email, and proprietary applications.
- Provide deskside support on various hardware, including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, telephones, SmartPhone devices, dictation devices, and other peripherals.
- Install pre-approved software and hardware.
- Provide second level support on issues escalated from the IT Help Desk.
- Escalate problems to the appropriate Analyst, Programmer, Supervisor, or Manager when necessary.
- Maintain records and databases related to support activities.
- Report unusual or recurring problems to appropriate personnel.
- Stay current on marketplace trends and Reed Smith application developments.
- Occasionally travel to other offices as needed for special projects or coverage.
- Assist with system maintenance and testing as requested.
- Set up videoconferences and presentations.
- Provide on-call after hours support on a rotating basis.
- Participate in special projects or initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Two years of experience supporting MS Office users.
- Strong PC, Windows, and applications knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Able to remain calm and adapt quickly to change.
- Ability to maintain a customer-service focus at all times.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Critical thinking skills and solutions-oriented thinking.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete assignments within set timelines.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to fulfill physical demands associated with job duties.
- Ability to utilize technology, including computers and telecommunication devices.
- Ability to read and interpret written documents, computer screens, and other visual displays.
- Availability for off-hours support as needed.

Pay Range: - per hour (Atlanta, GA)
