The Real Estate Associate will be responsible for handling a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including those involving lenders and borrowers, purchase and sale agreements, development projects, land use and zoning issues, leasing, and real estate lending. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in these areas and must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
The firm is looking for candidates with excellent academic credentials, strong oral and written communication skills, and positive references. The successful candidate will join the Real Estate Practice Group in the Charleston office and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging and complex matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle commercial real estate transactions, including those involving lenders and borrowers, purchase and sale agreements, development projects, land use and zoning issues, leasing, and real estate lending
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on real estate matters
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the Real Estate Practice Group
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions
- Experience representing lenders and borrowers is preferred
- Strong understanding of real estate law and regulations
- Excellent academic credentials and references
- Licensed to practice law in South Carolina
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
