Job Title: Nonprofit Corporate Attorney
Department: Legal
Experience: 2+ years
Location: Multiple locations in California
Responsibilities include:
- Advising nonprofit organizations on formation, 501(c)(3) applications, and ongoing compliance requirements
- Structuring and negotiating complex business transactions, such as mergers, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
- Drafting and reviewing corporate governance documents, including bylaws, board policies, and conflict of interest procedures
- Counseling boards of directors on fiduciary duties and best practices
- Managing state charitable registration and reporting requirements
Qualifications:
- Active member of the California Bar
- 2+ years of experience in nonprofit corporate law
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit formation and compliance requirements
- Experience with complex business transactions and corporate governance
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
