Role Overview

As the Regional Legal Counsel for the Rest of World region (excluding EU & US), the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing legal matters for the company. This includes providing legal advice and support to the regional management team, managing contracts and litigation, ensuring healthcare compliance, and implementing risk management and training programs. The Regional Legal Counsel will also act as a business partner, providing legal expertise and advice to the commercial and medical affairs teams to support their objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide legal advice and support to the regional management team
- Manage and review a wide range of agreements relevant to the business partners
- Conduct training for commercial and medical affairs staff on legal and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Develop legal templates, policies, and processes in collaboration with the business
- Participate in projects from a legal perspective
- Instruct outside counsel and supervise the provision of cost-effective legal advice
- Support senior management in delivering results at a strategic level

Requirements

- Master's degree in law (.)
- Excellent knowledge of applicable national and international contracting law and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- High level of professional ethics and integrity
- At least 7 years of experience as a mid-level legal counsel or in a similar role
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Cross-border experience
- Ideally, experience or strong affinity with the APAC region
- Comfortable dealing with fluid regulatory landscapes
- Sound experience in reviewing and drafting contracts in English
- Full fluency in English (native level preferred)
