Professional Liability Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Professional Liability Associate Attorney will be responsible for defending professional liability claims in areas such as Directors & Officers, Legal Malpractice, Errors & Omissions, and Architects & Engineers. The role involves significant legal research and writing, requiring the attorney to represent professionals either through direct engagement or via their insurance carrier. The attorney will be expected to work collaboratively within the department and with various professionals, including accountants, architects, engineers, attorneys, bankers, computer and media professionals (cyber law), financial planners, healthcare providers, insurance brokers and agents, school districts and municipalities, property appraisers and inspectors, real estate appraisers, brokers and agents, and securities brokers (FINRA). The attorney will need to demonstrate strong litigation skills and a keen interest in professional liability law.
Education and Experience Information:
The candidate must have admission to the California Bar. The role is open to attorneys with one (1) to seven (7) years of experience in defending professional liability claims. While experience in professional liability law is preferred, the law firm is also open to attorneys with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in professional liability law. Strong research and writing skills are essential for this position.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Professional Liability Associate Attorney position ranges from a minimum of USD $135, per year to a maximum of USD $180, per year. In addition to competitive compensation, the law firm offers a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k plan with employer contribution, and a bonus for those who meet their minimum hourly requirement.
