Position: Senior Business Transactional Attorney
Location: Central Contra Costa County
Salary: $185 - $225 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Business Transactional Attorney, you will be responsible for:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various business agreements
Advising on corporate governance and forming business entities
Providing counsel on labor/employment issues and risk mitigation
Identifying and consulting on legal risks and their mitigation
Analyzing and resolving business disputes
Assisting in mergers and acquisitions
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a Senior Business Transactional Attorney who meets the following criteria:
15+ years of relevant business transactional experience, including securities
Active member in good standing with the CA State Bar
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating with teams
Exceptional research, drafting, and negotiation skills
Strategic thinker with a keen understanding of legal and business risks
Professional, detail-oriented, and highly accountable
Located within a 40-minute commute to Lamorinda area
This is not a fit if you:
Have primarily litigation experience
Lack direct business transactional experience
Require a full-time role
Live more than 40 minutes from the Lamorinda area
Have less than 15 years of relevant experience
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $185 - $225 per hour, depending on experience.
Work Arrangement:
The initial commitment for this role is 5-7 hours per week for the first 6 months, with the potential to increase to 12-20 hours per week as needs grow. The work arrangement is flexible, with the option for remote access part of the time. However, the candidate must be located within a 40-minute commute to the Lamorinda area.
