The law firm, a global leader in the legal industry, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Manager to support our Restructuring and Appellate practice groups. In this role, you will work closely with our team to execute strategic initiatives that generate new client relationships, raise brand awareness, and drive revenue opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in building rapport with key stakeholders, developing subject-matter knowledge, and providing strategic and tactical support for business development initiatives. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with practice leadership to plan and produce client-targeted initiatives that raise awareness of our Restructuring and Appellate practices
Identify and propose pursuit opportunities, and implement initiatives to generate new client relationships and enhance brand profile
Analyze and develop engagement opportunities with target clients and coordinate with partners to deliver
Manage the production process for external communications, such as newsletters, blogs, and client alerts
Mentor and coach team members on best practices and core competencies
Utilize marketing channels, including social media, to convey consistent messages about the Restructuring and Appellate team and industry sector
Track and analyze client engagement activities and produce budget and ROI analyses
Plan and report on industry conference sponsorships, client presentations, and other events to promote the Disputes Group practices
Coordinate submissions for legal directories and surveys
Develop internal communications to promote monthly engagement activities
Update intranet content to raise awareness of BD initiatives and opportunities
Monitor and approve marketing expenses
Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience, preferably in professional services
Experience with business development strategy in a global professional services organization
Demonstrated success in leading marketing and business development initiatives
Strong business acumen and ability to analyze business and legal trends
Proactive and innovative with excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
Diplomatic, enthusiastic, and able to navigate points of sensitivity
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite and experience with CRM and experience management systems
required
Salary and Benefits:
Compensation commensurate with experience
Base annual salary in New York City expected to range between $165,000 and $180,000
Bonus opportunities based on individual and firm performance
