The 220 District Attorneys Council (DAC) is seeking an Assistant District Attorney for the Osage County District 10 office. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $90,000 plus benefits. The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, be admitted to and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association, and possess excellent verbal skills, legal analysis, and legal writing and editing skills. The Assistant District Attorney will be responsible for prosecuting all levels of criminal cases, including misdemeanors and felonies, in Osage and Pawnee Counties. This is a great opportunity for an experienced prosecutor or a new attorney with a genuine desire to serve the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prosecute all levels of criminal cases, including traffic, juvenile, and special courts (drug/mental health/diversion) in Osage and Pawnee Counties.
- Conduct legal analysis, research, and writing for cases.
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement, victims, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
- Attend court hearings and trials.
- Represent the District Attorney’s office in meetings and conferences.
- Maintain a favorable background investigation.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to and in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association.
- Excellent verbal skills, legal analysis, and legal writing and editing skills.
- Organizational, communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in prosecution preferred, but new attorneys with a genuine desire to serve the community will also be considered.

- The position is located in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, with satellite office in Pawnee.
