Workers' Compensation Paralegal The candidate processes new cases and prepares file for attorney review of workers compensation claims. Prepares and analyzes medical chronologies. Performs complex wage/hour calculations. Summarizes deposition transcripts. Subpoenas medical records, tracks responses, produces records received and updates medical chronologies. Coordinates independent medical exams and records reviews with medical providers, prepares medical packages. Drafts motions and additional pleadings for attorney review. Prepares documents for production and reviews/incorporates document productions from opposing counsel. Calendar/docket hearings, pre-trial agreements, discovery, and other deadlines. Prepares hearing exhibits and other documents to be produced to court and opposing counsel. Evaluates ongoing medical records and reviews cases for settlement or trial. Should have 5-6 years of experience in a professional setting. Workers compensation experience is preferred. Personal injury experience is consider. Experience performing complex wage/hour calculations and will have extensive experience with various types of databases, case management systems, and software is required.
