Location
- Green Bay Trial Office located at 139 S Washington St, Green Bay, WI
Position Summary
- Regional Attorney Managers (RAMs) expected to carry partial caseload and perform management duties
- Green Bay RAM oversees staff in Appleton, Green Bay, Peshtigo, and Shawano Trial Offices
- Represents agency during justice system committees and handles outside stakeholder requests and communication
- Travel up to 25% of the time, including to other offices in assigned region
Salary Information
- Starting salary between to per hour ($104,000 to $135,200 annually) depending on qualifications
- Eligible for additional per hour supervisory add-on
- Unclassified position in pay schedule/range 71-00
- Pay for current state employees set in accordance with Wisconsin State Compensation Plan
- Final selected candidates may be eligible for moving expense reimbursement
Background Check
- Criminal background check will be done prior to offer of employment
- All qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local law
Eligibility to Work in US
- SPD does not sponsor work visas at time of hire or anytime during employment
- All persons hired must verify identity and eligibility to work in US and complete Employment Eligibility Form I-9
State Bar Admission
- Successful candidates must be admitted to practice law by Wisconsin Supreme Court prior to start date
- Soon-to-be admitted attorneys encouraged to apply, appointment date set after admission to Wisconsin Bar

Qualifications
- Must submit letter of qualifications and resume
- Fluency in foreign language (especially Spanish and Hmong) a plus
- Minimally qualified applicants should have education, experience, and/or training in:
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Complex defense litigation skills
- Supervisory experience
- Licensed to practice in State of Wisconsin
- Well-qualified applicants will also have experience in:
- Handling various case types
- Supervision and/or leadership
- Legal risk management principles
- Working with criminal legal stakeholders
