Law Firm Seeking Experienced Legal Administrative Assistant in Boston, MA
About the Law Firm:
Our law firm is a leading firm in the Boston area, providing top-notch legal services to a variety of clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team and support our attorneys in their daily tasks and responsibilities. This is a full-time position located in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately file documents with the court ahead of deadlines using Pacer, File & Serve, and Odyssey
- Process third party and vendor invoices
- File, organize, scan, copy, and fax legal documents and other mailings in a timely manner
- Assist with event coordination and in-house client meeting preparation
- Register attorneys for conferences, speaking engagements, or webinars
- Maintain attorney bar information, accounts, payments, and applications
- Calendaring and scheduling travel arrangements
- Prepare expense reports as requested
- Maintain office and kitchen cleanliness daily
- Distribute daily mail
- Other responsibilities as requested by attorneys
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as an administrative legal assistant
- Familiarity with legal documents and terminology
- Working knowledge of database management software is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Must possess the following skills: initiative, organization, planning, attention to detail, follow-through, confidentiality, dependability, and client confidentiality
- Able to effectively prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow up as required
- Able to work as a team and in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work with attorneys and external clients at all levels
- Able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
- Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly
